Compassionate Counseling & Resilience Consultation.
At the heart of my counseling approach is the belief that each of us has the capacity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change in our lives and relationships. I believe that healing happens in the context of safety, curiosity, and connection. My role is not to "fix" anyone, but rather to create a space where people can better understand themselves, reconnect with their own resilience, and move toward the life they want to live. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they discover their own strengths, reconnect with themselves, and build lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling.
My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, grounded in neuroscience and polyvagal theory. I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs, using modalities of EMDR, parts work, self-compassion, mind-body awareness, psychoeducation, co-regulation, and Feedback-Informed Treatment. Together, we work at a pace that feels safe and intentional, recognizing that healing is not a linear process and that lasting change begins with feeling understood. For clients who have recently experienced a crime, I also provide support in navigating the judicial process when needed.

I also facilitate workshops and provide consultation to increase professional and personal resilience and mitigate compassion fatigue among helping professionals in the Grand Valley.

Research shows that rapport and relationship between a practitioner and client are integral to the healing and growth processes. In order to help potential clients see whether I might be a good fit for their needs, I offer a free 1/2 hour consultation to provide a sense of who I am and how I practice.
